The Aurora Extension property is located 140 km northeast of Cochrane and 8 km south of the former Detour Lake mine site which produced 49.8 million grams of gold from 1983 to 1998. Pelangio Mines and Trade Winds Ventures are exploring near the mine site. Conditions that produced the Detour Lake mineralization on the northern flank of the belt may have extended through a fold structure to the belt's southern flank around the Aurora Extension property. The eastern limit of the claim block lies along the western shore line of lower Detour Lake.
In 2004 Candorado completed an induced polarization and ground magnetic geophysical program. The program proved to be very successful outlining no less than ten anomalies. In early 2006 a three hole drill program commenced targeting two high-priority targets in the western extension and one in the eastern. Though the assay results showed no significant precious or base metal mineralization the company is of the opinion that several of the remaining anomalies have merit.
Regional Geology
The Aurora extension property is underlain by volcanic rocks of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt.
Ownership
Candorado acquired 100% of the property subject to a 2 per-cent NSR.
2007 Exploration
Candorado plans on drill testing many of the remaining anomalies located on the property. It is unclear whether this will occur in 2007 due to our focus on the Quesnel trough.
